The Sample Motion Instructions and Forms are included on the OA website at https://staging.oa.org/world-service-business-conference/ under Resources. An eight-minute video and an editable/translatable slideshow on how to submit a motion to WSBC is also available. These can be accessed at the link above.

New Business or Bylaw Amendment motions may include up to one page of arguments in favor of the motion. The WSBC Bylaws Committee will aid service bodies in preparing New Business Motions or Bylaw Amendments. Write or email the committee in care of the World Service Office.

Election of Trustees

Trustees serve and represent Overeaters Anonymous as a whole, acting as guardians of the Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and Twelve Concepts. They conduct, manage, and control the affairs and business of Overeaters Anonymous and serve as spokesmen in matters affecting OA as a whole. The role of a trustee is to furnish counsel and guidance to the members, groups, and service bodies; to supervise and guide education and attraction efforts of OA; and to perform such other duties as may be directed by the delegates at the Conference.

There are six trustee positions open in 2026. Instructions, an application (signed and submitted by the region), and requirements are included on the OA website at https://staging.oa.org/world-service-business-conference/ under Frequently Used Documents. Applications are due to the World Service Office by January 20, 2026.

Please contact your region for more information. Please consider this important position as a possibility for yourself or someone you know. Service is our way to recovery and freedom. “Always to extend the hand and heart of OA to all who share my compulsion; for this I am responsible.” We look to those who have gone before us, sharing their experience, strength, and hope. You are needed by our Fellowship.

Conference Support Volunteers

Volunteers are now being recruited for the World Service Business Conference 2026! What a wonderful way to serve, learn, and be a part of the Fellowship expressing itself in our group conscience.
